Founded in 2014 in Brooklyn, NY, DELSONIDO came together when two of its founding members Elkin Pautt and Ivan Garizabalo, Colombians hailing from Barranquilla, in the Atlantic coast of Colombia, both with musical aspirations, wanted to blend in those Caribbean influences along side the melting pot of sounds they were encountering in vibrant new york city music scene.

Along the way, through jam sessions with different musicians, they met with Trombonist Jason Disu one of the cities premier session player who has worked with LCD Soundsystem, David Byrne, Father John Misty, Holy Ghost, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis amongst others.. They were later joined by Trumpet player Carter Yazutake (Underground System, Midnight Magic, Love This Giant, Macklemore, Bonobo, Laura Izibor.) bass player Jonathan Toscano (Gregoire Maret, Billy Kilson) Sebastian "C-bass” Chiriboga (Annie Lennox, Willie Nelson) and Lead Singer Salima Rah a soulful and charismatic vocalist (Soul Science Lab)

Given the diverse musical backgrounds and styles of all of DELSONIDO's players, the bands sound is an eclectic blend, of Caribbean spirit, modern & edgy rock guitars with textures reminiscent of U2’s The Edge, going on Rage against the Machine, Dance and Electronica beats with Urban, Punk attitude, blended with avant-garde and experimental Jazz making DELSONIDO music a refreshing and powerful combination. Their live performances are becoming legend and they are sure to be one of New Yorks bands to look out for.

DELSONIDO first release was an EP Called "Digital Root", followed up by a second EP Titled “Treasure” the single had a collaboration on vocals by Mai-Elka Prado.  In 2016 DELSONIDO releases their third EP “Pleasure”  which again features Mai- Elka Prado.
